Ah I see. I had seen it as the walls that systematization throws up are easier to see through. Things that were opaque become clear and you see connections that aren't apparent to many/most.

In my experience systematization blinds you to that which is not in the system, and that is often it’s purpose — to replace senses with system interactions

I resonate with "thicker" or "more solid." This is also how Lewis describes the people in Heaven vs. in Hell where they're wraiths. I think the "luminosity" of Dzogchen might be getting at something similar. The real shines forth with clarity the conceptual cannot replicate

OTOH, I love the concept of the "paper thinness" of reality. It's referring to the "thin" conceptual overlay, but I sometimes/often experience it as a malleability and fluidity of reality because the conceptual overlay is so salient
