Not sure what implementation would look like, but seeing someone's path to answers/knowledge would help a lot > search for some Linux error > follow multiple links, arrive at a useful answer on link #5 > surface link #5 as the "suggested solution" for anyone with that problem

remove all news articles from search results, return raw data or lightly annotated data only for most search queries instead. right now most search queries return a way too editorialized layer on top of the data you're looking for

Two ways - Teach consumers to surf the web better. - Teach creators to write for better discoverability. Need to bridge the gap between intent and content. Redesigning web for better search is too huge a project to start.

Interface customizing - Google tries to search everything so needs to fit everything. Something like ListenNotes only needs to present podcast results so can be better fit to podcast search.
