may have good ideas here. May be proprietary. IIRC, a *lot* of macro numbers are massaged heavily in China. Sometimes balancing under the hood can make it work. But there are many potential shoes to drop.

I mean US (and arguably the world's) economy overall was doing much better than expected given the circumstances, so I'm not sure if there are any shoes to drop.
