So wife and I are arguing about whether Baby Yoda is alive/dead by the time of Ben Solo killing all the others at the Jedi temple. She thinks he got killed. I think he graduated and went off somewhere. Has Reddit figured this out?
But why didn’t he fight in new trilogy? 😡

He got a good paying STEM job in the Outer Rim and settled down on a suburban planet with a frog wife and three kids.

Ben is only about five years old at this point. By the time he’s sent to Luke (5-10 years from now), our boy has likely moved on. That, or he didn’t actually take to the training, for all the reasons Ahsoka mentioned.

I think they're going to change the storyline. The new trilogy will be an alternate future.

The current implication is clearly that he gets killed. But we'll see what Disney does!

Disney knows how much we love baby yoda, so they’re definitely going to answer this at some point, and I highly doubt they’d go with an ending of “oh yeah, he burned with all the other Neo-Jedi. Thanks for watching! 😄”

Neither. I view the Mandalorian as more of a prequel to or mash-up of Timothy Zahn’s (actually pretty good) Nirvana-era Thrawn trilogy. The Hollywood emo-Vader sequels take place in an alt universe w/ too many narrative dead-ends.

Due to his slow aging i'm guessing Grogu will be just a kid by the time of the sequels. Maybe a talking one. Like, a human 9 year old.
