pros: I'm not shocked by what the clock says even when it feels like it should say something else. more like seeing a signpost ig
cons: being up late at night no longer feels like cheating and getting away with something

mixed: deadlines feel salient, in a "if you don't do A at time X you're going to miss the ability to do B at time Y" way
which is nice and all and healthier than the sword of damocles model i was working with before, but my delusions were load-bearing gdi!!!
