Starting to play with Arduino more. First I’ve fiddled with electronic assembly in ~20 years and the biggest learning is: middle-aged eyesight and finger dexterity suck. Reading resistor values and assembling even a simple circuit was more eye/finger strain than I expected.

Oh I see I actually have a really old pair I just inherited from my father in laws workshop after he passed away last year. Needs cleaning and had some scratches

Wow! Was he a jeweler? They seem particularly popular with jewelers. Depending on magnification, those might be perfect! Also you can buy just the lens plate and do hot swaps but I wanted convenience of easy changes, so I have multiple headsets myself.

No... retired bomb disposal veteran who took up model ship-building in retirement :D I also inherited a bunch of tiny files, a few woodworking clamps etc. Most look quite old, like he bought them more than 10-15y ago.

Wow, did not expect that reply! :) I have my great grandfather's measuring tape (wire and linen!) and hammer and my grandfather's hammer too. I love using them because they are nice tools but also have acquired history and maybe a little soul. A bit like Voyager in ST The Movie.
