Starting to play with Arduino more. First I’ve fiddled with electronic assembly in ~20 years and the biggest learning is: middle-aged eyesight and finger dexterity suck. Reading resistor values and assembling even a simple circuit was more eye/finger strain than I expected.pic.twitter.com/ymrSZckHrZ

You're rich enough to invest in a proper stereo zoom microscope. You will be amazed by all the things that you end up using it for (e.g. tiny splinters & reading IC codes), and you will only need it more as you get older.

Critical tool for a "maker". I have a nice Olympus that I picked up decades ago when a startup cratered. AMZN has cheap ones (Chinese?) now (just search for stereo zoom microscopes):https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Professional-Binocular-Microscope-Magnification/dp/B07TTGZ8NZ/ …
