Twitter is doing that thing where it's trying to hook me by slowing down my follower growth just before hitting a big round number and may I be the first to admit that it's working.

I've seen others mention it and there was consensus that it is a thing. Is it something I can provide any evidence for? Absolutely not. It aligns with my experience, but huge potential for perception errors obviously.

One anecdotal observation is that normally I lose a lower single digit number of followers with each tweet and randomly gain 10-20 overnight. Currently I'm not losing any with each tweet and no new overnight. No real change in tweet behaviour. So maybe suppression of some kind.
