It really depends what happens later on, the grand narratives are only shaped in the telescopic vision of history, COVID will probably be seen to have done nothing much in the immediate future, but in 30 years will be seen as exposing our corrupt and incompetent institutions.

Of course, who knows what will happen tomorrow to make the objects of our current focus seem petty and inconsequential.
