I dunno. Voyager was a great show, but I'd hardly say it embodied the spirit of exploration. They spent seven seasons *trying to go home*. (Yeah, sure, they stopped to chart every nebula they found, but all Treks do that.)

Yet they did the farthest afield exploration ever 😎 It’s the results that count. TNG crowd was mostly dicking around in alpha quadrant backyard larping real exploration. They wouldn’t even have encountered the Borg if Q hadn’t decided to spice things up a bit.
