I’ve lived through 6 US presidential elections and 5 were utterly routine. Only one, the 2000 one, had even a hint of trouble. This one... damn. Already the expectations of strife are turning into self-fulfilling prophecies. A steadily growing set of skirmishing zones.

To be fair, it's both sides spoiling for a civil war. 2/3rds of college stupids this rioting and looting is justified to express their dislike for political events.
