Feeling grateful that my visit to the ER a couple weeks only amounted to owing ~$100. I'll be on my parents' insurance for a little under a year more. Don't know what to do about that after. Anyone have hacks on self funded insurance hacking for gigsters and freelancers?

Not...sure...why so many people aren't considering the ACA. It's out there, and it works, especially if you live on the coasts or in a city. Unbelievable godsend to giggers. You can also try a prof. assoc. like Freelancers or Consultants, but ACA is probably a better deal.

Depending on state/level of coverage, which is part of the problem. But much cheaper than trying to get singleton coverage as freelancer pre-ACA, assuming they'd give it to you at all (spoiler: they wouldn't.) When I was in my early 30s, no kids, highly educated ie a great risk.
