Poll: Retirees, what’s your sense of your life as you reflect on it now (traditional 65+ retirees only, not early retirees)

Yeah, but I feel like I perceive 65+ as being curious and exploratory within a comfort zone. Maybe I’m thinking more “crash early crash often” era Ribbonfarm, but crashing seems like the last thing most people want to do at that age
-
This is why reading history books feels like such a 65+ thing to do. Curious exploration, but of the settled canon they’ve oriented their life around

When I'm 65 I'm going to be eating cat food and reading Emerson's *Journals*, Lucretius, and Wordsworth. Oh, and the New York Edition. At that age that's the only curious/exploratory that will serve, unless you're a numpty.

I'm not gonna stop rewiring my brain until I'm dead and even then only if I have to because they can't just put me in a jar or somethingpic.twitter.com/zUrl5dXYIc
