Really large companies can distort the meaning of money just as governments
Their knobs aren’t as legible as interest rates or bonds, but just as real. Like Fedex or UPS could probably shift the meaning of money by deciding to drive trucks slower. Oil companies obviously.

This is often ignored but really affects liquidity. Many vendors now announcing their chasing terms on outstanding invoices to 90+ days. Or just indefinitely not paying, which is fun.
