Ah, in this particular match-up I definitely default to the tech crowd. The NYT has degenerated into a progressive version of Quillette. The only way to win is to not play their game etc.

Kidding aside, their op-ed section really is slowly poisoning the whole well. I canceled my subscription earlier this year.
