How would you characterize Muskian futures in ideological terms? (Mars colonization, aggressive climate action, lots of sci-fi visions)? It's neither the basic SV neowhig libertarian future, nor the basic NYT-op-ed progressive future. Nor is it Thiel-Trump reactionary.

Seems to me like the basic SV technooptimist future. Maybe it's just my corner of twitter, but I get the general idea of ignoring the direct approach to government dysfunction and just overpowering it with technological advance.

Basic SV is radically more software-centric. For consumer stuff, web and mobile apps are still the center. For enterprise, the big, deep conversations around cloud tech, networking etc. See a16z podcasts for the feel there. O’Reilly, Stripe etc are somewhere in between.
