the @yak_collective is ending up as one of the best things that "happened" to me (or that I am opting into, really). sometimes of course not as great as other times, like with not finding direct client leads as easily as I'd hoped ...

I think the best use cases thus far of YC are giving people a low stakes environment, high collaboration environment to exercise their creative high-tech skillsets and make experimental moves

allowing you to larp as a project manager, editor, founder, whatever. and then find other people to discuss with who have the same combination of inherent independence, high ambition, but having to navigate backchannels to break in

less so than the current professed value proposition, which is competing with Bains or whatever, as a pop up consulting firm/organization. The paid client lead has been lacking for now.

not saying that that isn't possible but maybe indies are just going to be somewhat inherently bad at breaking in from the stance of a group rather than an individual

well, the thing is whatever we make it. If we can figure out how to make it a lead-gen engine, it will become one... and you've been involved enough you can probably think of creative ways maybe think of new old country project idea in those terms :D
