I’m now officially registered as an out-of-state corp to do business in California. Why does it feel like I’m swimming against the current? 🤔
If I move again it’s either back to WA, or some rural underpopulated state with mansioning potential.

It’s okay not to if you’re there temporarily but actually legally required if you establish a real operating presence. True of most states. Can end up in annoying tax trouble if you don’t.

Hehehe welcome to real life. It’s the corporate equivalent of birth certificate vs drivers license. Large companies are typically registered in all 50 states and hire an army of accountants to be taxed in the most advantageous way.

No thanks I'll take the Internet Life instead. What if your business is online only?

LOL! Are you US based? How old are you? If you’re making money from a business you generally owe registration fees and taxes whenever you live and registration fees where your corp is domiciled. No real way around it if you move states a lot.

I meant if your business is online you don't need to register out-state corps you pay taxes and fees in the state you incorporated in. Maybe I need to get an accountant.
