I only own a Swiss Army knife but I’m always covetously eyeing every kind of compact multitool I see. Nerd superpowers in your pocket.

A friend of mine has a backpack that's straight out of a super hero comic. You'd be like: "Shit we need a...", and she'd just rummage through it and pull some random thing out. She had multi-tools, multimeters, adapters, etc. She's a real-life super hero.

My fave, the SOG power lock line. Power has a 2:1 leverage in the pliers so they really grab, and lock means all the tools lock in place.

RadioShack used to sell a leatherman small enough to go on your keychain that had wire strippers instead of the normal pliers. Still have mine. Awesome for electrical engineers hacking things.

You’re not anymore? Damn, are you giving away all your toys and retiring to a monastery? No leatherman, no telescope,...

In pre-pandemic times, the real challenge was the best multitool that you can take with you on the plane. Ideally, the best tools that comfortably fit on your keys.
Innovation is born from constraints...

I like my Squirt, but don't carry it around often (just didn't want to have to worry about getting on a plane)
