Got an alexa show for my office, and set it up to sync to iphone via bluetooth. Finally that's a config that that's low enough friction and convenient enough context I might actually sometimes listen to music again now for the first time in years. Maybe even podcasts.

I think the reason I stopped intentionally listening to music was the intersection of being in the mood, being in the right context, and having a convenient config got vanishingly rare because all 3 got much more rare.

Mood incidence dropped by like 90%
Context was rare since I don't like listening in cars, cafes, or while walking/exercising. A home office is really the only context.
Config was rare since I don't like headphones, dedicated equipment, or wrangling bad digital music s/w

I don't dislike it! I'm just not often in the mood for it, and it's not a central part of my life like it is for a lot of people. Just because I prefer silence or ambient noise most of the time doesn't mean I dislike music :D
