Pepe is the incel and Chad is their enemy, because Pepe is an adaptable symbol you _could_ make a Chad Pepe but the frog is a clear symbol of the rejected and outcast

I’m not sure that works. The meme template above clearly violates that reading though. And the signature knowing smirk is inconsistent with the abject humiliation position of the incel. Pepe is never shown humiliated or wretched.

I've long had a finger on Chad as being in many ways a socially dominant manifestation of the attitude that they themselves seek bear the affect of.

They worship Chad even as he scorns them, and they know that Pepe's gaze upon them is contempt that they would disguise their self-loathing with such pathetic affectations.
