The costliest part is astronomy is just enough lifestyle cushion to check out from busy business hubs and live near remote dark places. Post-Covid, if business travel and face-to-face interaction time don’t recover, I could actually consider this.

Actually, I'm just learning. Stick with it; each individual frame of the video looks much like your image, but the software averages and emphasizes what's common between them. The software, Firecapture, Autostakkert3, and Registax are each freeware+$300 Zwo camera.
And I'm in the LA basin too. Planets are just fine here!
