Heh accurate predictions. Wolfram strive mightily to create an environment that still is at best begrudgingly shared with others who aren’t thrilled to be there either. Mathematica is adopted despite the put-up-with-wolfram which says a lot about its brilliance.

I never got beyond hello world in mathematica because I wasn’t doing enough closed-form work to need it.

If you haven't taken a look lately, it's worth it. It's a truly incredible tool and vision.
This is a nice perspective on one element of what's special about it: writings.stephenwolfram.com/2019/05/what-w

The best use of mathematica was by a friend in physics grad school days who'd type up notes, equations (and "solve" if it was left to students), and then nicely format, export to pdf and send to all of us in the class. We got more "tricks of trade" than textbooks.
