🚫🎶 I’m worried what it MEANS is that there is no apparent future for teenagers. 🎸 For decades, music gave kids their first sense that something NEW was HAPPENING that they could be part of, and it was exciting to see what would happen NEXT

🎶 Woke up with a start in the middle of the night realizing I hadn’t heard anything about music since 2015. Nobody tweets about it any more hardly, nothing in my other feeds. Did music just die five years ago? 😵 Am I more out of touch than I thought? What does this MEAN??

OK Boomer, as a parent of a hip post-teenager, I can say there is plenty of music happening. Keep in mind that youth subcultural music is specifically designed to be hateful or invisible to olds like us. Xiu Xiu and Lingua Ignota are two faves that I am not allowed to like.
