Good frame. I think they will. They've gotten what they wanted out of Trump, and will hopefully see the wisdom in discarding him like a used tissue.

Stop asking if Trump will accept the results of the election if he loses. He won't and won't ever. We already know this. Ask whether *every other person in the GOP* will accept the results. The answer will tell you whether it's still a party or a merely a conspiracy for treason.

The Federalist Society has finished its job and secured the defenses for the conservative agenda for the next 3 decades even as electoral support winds down along with demographics. Despite everything, I'm pretty optimistic about political process with Trump out of the picture.

So basically, best-case scenario for the next 30 years: 1. Trump out 2. Rabid base sidelined 3. Courts and gerrymandered electorate creating structural bias for GOP 4. BUT... Demographics and every significant domestic and global trend else is stacked against them. Fair fight.

this is just accelerationism to get the youth to adopt new forms of social organization / technology instead of regular political change to route around the conservative federal government, isn't it?

Nothing is ever "just" something else. If accelerationism is the place on your map you want to plot this idea, well,... it's your map, so put things where you want :)

I think you’re being wildly optimistic but I hope you’re right. The RGB maneuvers give me zero confidence that “mainstream” Republicans will do anything other than march through every hole Trump punches through the walls
