It depends on who you include. If you limit it to projectile weapons, it is still low. W/ killings by police, we're on track for >1000 in 2020. The impact of COVID-19 policies, 100K+ (unclear benchmark). Evictions, healthcare? I'm not saying use these

And thinking it's single digits misses a lot of what's going on. At the same time, it's not to the point where masses of people are looking for lethal revenge, which is much harder to pull back from. I hope we can avoid getting there.

You're assuming a relatively organized model of civil war, with a command structure on each side. I think it'll be a lot more chaotic, with many escallatory events, multiple participant factions. We've seen that pattern already.
