McConnell is unpleasant, but I find it weird that people call him a hypocrite for “shamelessly” flip-flopping on nomination principles. He sees himself as a general leading a legislative war in the battlefield of the senate, not as a collegial member of an institution at piece.

It's okay to lament his lack of morals and call him out on his hipocrisy, as long as it's not the only thing Dems are doing to fight back. Let his image keep taking hits, no need to let him slide just because it won't make a difference electorally. People need to vent.

Also, are we sure it doesn't work? If it weren't for him, would the Dems have raised what, like $50 million overnight? I just gave too, I have the fear of Evil Mitch in my heart. :D

The $50m “Mitch Round” is just a consolation prize. He’ll secure his main legislative legacy of stacking the courts for a generation and likely doesn’t care if Trump wins or loses anymore. Little Donny will have done the job he was hired to do.

He does care if they hold on to the Senate, he's not entirely done. And a lot of the money raised is going to candidates in close Senate races. If they take majority back, the Dems should grow a pair and expand the SC, that's what Mitch would do.
