I don't speak swedish natively, but I know it a little. Ikea's naming sounds like proper swedish to me - after all the design offices are mostly in Sweden, for all I know.

Vadholma is actually a place in Sweden, island quite near the capital Stockholm. Kolbjörn is a composite, something like a coal-jerry would be (Björn is a common swedish first name, kol is coal).
