Also, there’s a second scientific revolution under way. And though they’re both kinda annoying about it, Wolfram and Taleb both provided key bits of it.
Guessing you're referring to the idea of tinkering/basic research (prime driver of new ideas/insights) rather than directed research (often less successful than you'd think). Taleb didn't invent this idea of course but is perhaps the most prominent voice to legitimize it.
