The alternative is to accept that mo’ knowledge tools mo’ discourse problems is a good thing. More intractable conflicts but also more powerful upsides in social scaling, coordination, collective intelligence. Neither or both. Can’t have one without the other.

I've often wondered if Twitter would be better as a paid service. Would eliminate bots, reduce alt accounts, keep out casuals (who typically contrib little), and make people take account suspension/termination seriously.
