Success! 3d printed the lost telescope cap cover! With vanity logo too 😎 The tolerance is a little off, so it’s not quite a snug interference fit. Wondering whether to reprint or use this with a bit of tape or something to line it for a snug fit.

I do have feeler gauges, but it only goes as low as 0.25mm and that gauge is just a bit too thick. So I'm guessing the gap is ~0.2mm and I need to maybe add 0.3-0.5mm to the diameter to get the fit

Printed version 2 which fits snugly (had to sand a bit... but I’m not printing V3... I know when to quit). Just need to print and glue on a handle. Needed 2 parts due to overhang

I have those too, but subtracting 1 large number from another in a coarse print job is not exactly very precise...I think I'm down to trial and error. Cant measure my way out of this.

can probably print a vase mode single wall cap to get the fit right, will print much faster than the full part
