I find myself increasingly, not disagreeing with words someone says, but frustrated that they remain stuck on them as words, isolated from their meanings and concrete instantiations in the world. Disagreement requires…a certain level of territorialization of one’s own thoughts.

I want to blame this on the quantity of thinking that is now done in and by the public sphere, (online), and its deep dependence on words (multi-vocal discourses) over meanings (realities—concrete). Public opinion can, for the first time, shift to positions that don’t even exist
