Imo if you’re just printing a few things a year it’s not worth the headache of buying a 3d printer. Cloud print services are the move

Also try searching K40 lasers.
Much steeper learning curve and can be finicky though, so depends on your tolerance for tinkering

For basic materials and mechanical stuff, no downside except turnaround.
I’m making microfluidics and couldn’t get cloud services to handle the materials consistently. “Forgetting” tested settings, burning edges, residue everywhere.
