Hmm. Which is more fun: 2d laser cutter or 3d printer?

Damn 2d cutters are really expensive. But I guess I can easily get stuff cloud printed.

It’s not really an either/or choice when 3D printers are so much cheaper & can take up so much less space. There’s not really any downside to getting a cheap small printer to start with. There’s also less setup involved since with PLA you don’t have to worry about ventilation.

Why not get a cricut? It can do paper, card, vinyl signs, stickers, etc and is $300 last I checked

Interesting, hadn’t heard of that. So soft/thin materials? If this stiffest/hardest material is cardstock, the range is mainly decorative crafts sounds like. Not things strong enough to serve material functions?

Laser cutter and it’s not even close.
I actually make a lot more “3d” stuff with my laser cutter than I ever did with my 3d printer.
Check out makerdesignlab.com/tutorials-tips for some inspiration.
With Fusion 360 you can also do your own fairly 3d designs to laser cut fairly easily
