The choice of words is poor though because you have conflated "perfection" with "extremism", which is not helpful. That is, it is possible to get better at being a skeptic, without becoming more extreme as a skeptic.

this seems like trolling the bayesians. is modifying beliefs not a process of updating ones priors? perfect gullibility would be wild responsiveness to new info, perfect skepticism complete intransigence

A lot of the people that are skeptical of science and authority are the same people that belive in flat earth, aliens, anti Vax, etc.
So gullible anything is possible, so skeptical nothing is real.

There are ppl who disbelieve (dogmatically) all putatively altruistic behavior.
