What is the most detail-oriented activity you enjoy?
Where there’s a huge number of details to get right and you just have to patiently work through all of them, and you either genuinely enjoy it or it feels like a soul-crushing grind?

One of my own is getting moderately complex financial spreadsheets to tally correctly down to the penny. But short of needing macros or code.

Interesting. I’ve never personally enjoyed detailed copy editing though I’ve done a lot.

Music engraving. Give me your shitty handwritten or poorly-scanned score and I can turn it into something you actually want to play from by spending hours fiddling with tiny little details.

Isn’t there typesetting software for this so you can just type in the score?

Driving - underrated and automated for so many people. Many moving parts. In love with every change of gear, pressing the clutch, braking and down shifting even just starting the car and watching the rpm settle down to ~900. Oh just taking about it is turning me on 🤩

Hmm... in this case, you don't *have* to do it. Possible to drive with low attention to detail.
