Yet again I find myself with nice thick cardboard tubes. These are 16 3/8 x 3 (from packing film rolls). This time I must use them in a project. I’m thinking telescope. Where can I find 3” lens or mirror? I’m thinking I’ll make a refractor, a reflector, and a third thing

Might have to nix the telescope project... the lenses/mirrors are way too expensive to buy for a carboard-tube reuse project

Just read the Tube article. Ashamed of Twitter for not bringing you better ideas. As a ribbonfarm attendee and BAR member I give you.
"More Ideas For The Tubes"
1. Tube World Classic which is a fork of Tube World that is mostly a cheaper knock off...perhaps made of straws...

It is very common for dew to condense on/inside the telescope tube over a night of observation. Persistent dampness inside the tube can also lead to fungus — possibly even on the mirrors. (Now I’m curious whether this has been tried before and there are known solutions...)
