I seem to spend half my time refining definitions. Been circling ‘nerve’ and ‘imagination’ in the sense of Clarke’s hazards of prophecy for 2-3 years now. Though, nerve is itself dependent on an ability to determine what actually “is” from a sea of low-quality inputs. You can’t even hope to be a prophet without extraordinarily good sensory gating.
