Tracks of change BNSF currently the only rail operator in the country approved by PHMSA (regulator of pipes and haz gases) to transport LNG. PHMSA also recently moved to deregulate LNG transport by Rail. They key change is the DOT-113 tank, a standard unit of LNG transport.
