No more than 1-2 models per essay is a thing I had to learn the hard way. IMO, essays aren't good for a lot of the writing people want to do these days. Where you have like, 100 models that fit together in a gestalt and you want to transmit the gestalt.

The rise of microblogging is probably in part because it's a better fit for this kind of thing.
