Not in the interests of the power structures of society, but I feel like one potential source of innovation energy is going to be community based not capital based, with more local, organic innovation happening to try to reboot stuff around real peoples needs on the ground.

The small, family-owned manufacturing company I work with, , is celebrating its 10th anniversary of making #AmericanBuilt products (and 11th year in business). Profitable, highly reviewed. Organic growth - not externally-funded. If one is patient – another model?

Micro funding of smaller market opportunities by friends/family rounds, no VC wants to fund anything that can’t become a unicorn And I’m bummed that this means, that new people with great ideas, but no F/F with $, will make it

My hunch is that the answer to that question can't be answered in a vacuum, but will depend heavily on - The most valuable new technologies: VC is symbiotic with chips and software - History: If there's a new hot/cold war baby contractors might spring up etc.
