It’s kinda a personal policy of mine to never sign petitions or public letters, or those ballot measure campaigns that are the scourge of the west coast. Vote with votes or dollars, or act personally. This non-binding sense-of-the-body bullshit is mook-vs-mook futility.

If you actually believe in a position, write a damn personal essay articulating it. Don’t sign on to some generic thing with a bunch of other people. Even a quote retweet is better since you at least editorialize a bit.
