I've only had a few experiences with VR and it's been several years, so I'm curious: given that we're still in a sort of unofficial lockdown, do you see anything in that space with potential to dampen current tensions?

Breakthrough technological innovation appears to be on pause right now (even before COVID-19), so I'm just curious if there is anything in existing-but-not-yet-widely-scaled technologies worth getting my hopes up for, and I remembered you mentioning some positive VR experiences

Lots of people leaving Twitter right now to preserve their sanity You know the story of how the incel community came to be so toxic, yeah? What do we get if all the most well-adjusted leave Twitter? I'll let you know when I find out 😎

More specifically on VR, I imagine e.g. VR social media being a hellscape worse than Twitter and Facebook combined, but am open to being convinced otherwise

Good to know! VR won't fix the economy, government, etc, but those are sort of "plumbing" - when they function well, they let us pursue our societal goals more effectively I'm more worried about a lack of goals. VR seems like it could help on both fronts - mellow out & think big
