They absolutely do. They are quick to point out the risks of protests. There was that clip of a Trumpie saying his relative had died from it. Even Fox News is taking it seriously. Masks have just become an identity thing. They signal prosocial empathy values, therefore anathema.

maybe im hyperbolizing and overgeneralizing as to "they." but thought leaders in a LOT of alter health/media are extremely skeptical that it's anything to worry about/worse than the flu/even real everything from ZH comments to YT conspiracy comments is filled with the sentiment.
