Culture war wrangling has unfortunately become a key element in my consulting. It is now the 4th, and youngest manifestation of bullshit jobs. Bullshit jobs evolve in one of 4 ways: automation, outsourcing, trumpification, and now: wokification. Only the first 2 are survivable

It seems that the wokification built on fertile ground laid by testing like MBTI and other psuedoscience I was at a culture conference in 2017 which was 50% additive org thinking & 50% political ideology. I knew then that HR was a completely different beast

Hmm... not really. Things like MBTI are actually relatively safe precisely because they are so obviously arbitrary and borderline silly. People can have fun with them like astrology. Woke is built on bad takes on mediocre critical theory and French philosophy.

I guess what I'm saying is that the biggest proponents of those tools seemed to be the same people running point on this new version of HR. Perhaps not perfectly aligned with what you are arguing.
