Are you contemplating or have you implemented any hard-to-reverse and big long-term lifestyle change in response to covid? Like career change, moving to rural parts, etc?
If so, what?
I'm making the leap from freelancer to firm. If I did a lot of small engagements, it wouldn't matter so much, but having 4 clients on retainer & losing 3 of them within a week…too risky. Taking on more clients reduces the chances of losing 75% of your business at once.
It also lets me focus more on the parts of the business I enjoy and am best at, rather than getting caught in the trap of doing everything, and being so buried in client work I can't invest time into growing the business.
So it's motivating me to finally push past the freelancer rollercoaster and try to get to a smoother, more consistent business model. That requires a team—not a full-time staff, but a team, nonetheless.
