I’m starting to converge on an odd diagnosis of Woke’s basic problem: trying to solve with language problems that are fundamentally not about language. Reality has an enormous amount of detail. There will also be vastly more tgatvremain unsaid than can be said about anything.

“Original intent” vs “living document” is the most fundamental question in constitutional law. Which you prefer is based on a value judgment and all attempts to justify one way or the other betrays a bias. You’ve betrayed your particular bias with these tweets.

Do you mean U.S. constitutional law or a more general field of studying various constitutions? If U.S. I'd like to flag that f.e. the Swiss constitution is altered regularly via referendum (yearly, couple of times a year) and even includes a section on owning 2nd houses..
