Why Ventura in particular? What are you optimizing for? Lots of really beautiful small-town CA in NorCal with better weather, eg join

I live in Ventura county. Low population density, lots to do outdoors, lower sales and property tax, cheaper housing per square ft

Esp for the next 2-3 years, seems like suburban / small town / rural life has lots of advantages (assuming fast internet of course).

Surprised Ithaca was cheapest, isn’t NY among the highest cost of living states in the country, as well as among the highest taxes? Even given the fact it’s a smaller city/town I would imagine it’s still quite expensive.
