I like studying strategy the same way I like watching apocalyptic movies. You don’t actually want to be in a situation calling for true strategic thinking anymore than you want to be caught up in an apocalypse. It means there’s hostility, danger, privation and scarcity around.

When I actually need to do strategy I take an afternoon nap. If I don’t wake up with the answer, I try again the next afternoon. If I don’t get the answer in 3 tries, I decide it’s too hard and give up.

You like play acting meaningful struggle, but would *never* want to experience the real thing. This is the logic of the Last Man- juvenile, decadent, and pathetic.

Why do you associate strategy with these violent terms? What is your actual definition of strategy? How do you distinguish it from tactics and operations? Are my questions bullshit? :-)
