The cultural distance between black and white america seems higher than that between white america and most of the world (including africa I suspect). Considered as a separate nation, black america is pretty much unique in the world. There's no other nation like it in both highly positive and highly negative ways. It's a bit like Japan. A sort of n=1 set that's a universe unto itself.

Is there factor analysis research in this regard comparing black america vs. white america? I wasn't aware of Hofstede, I've only consumed the Nisbett East-West stuff.
